Kayaking in Regent's Canal
We headed to the Pirates Castle in Camden to work on the Kayaking Merit Badge in the Regent's Canal.
Saturday was spent covering basic kayaking strokes and techniques. On Sunday, we worked on the more advanced strokes, techniques and rescue procedures.
Scouts who completed both days were awarded with the British Canoeing Certificate which grants special access on British Waterways.
Built in the early 19th century, the Regent's Canal links the Thames River at Limehouse in the east with Paddington Basin in the west.
