Troop 401 Austria Hike October 2018
Austria Hike
The Troop 401 Austria hike took place from the 13 of October to the 16 of October.
We all arrived at Gatwick to fly from London to Innsbruck airport. The views from the plane were absolutely amazing.
We signed in at the hotel and went for a 5 mile hike. We came back and ate dinner.
The next day we ate breakfast and made packed lunches. Then we went to a conference room and we all planned for our hikes for that day. There were two groups who went two different ways. The first group went to Barenbadalm. The second group took a longer hike.
We came back and we all chilled out at the hotel for a couple of hours. Then we had another very good dinner. We went to bed and the lights were turned off at 10.
The next day was similar. We ate breakfast, packed our lunches and prepped for the hikes. Both groups went two the same destination but went two different ways. Our destination was Lamsenjochhutte.
The hike consisted of a lot of switchbacks. When we got to the top we could see where we started. At the top both groups joined up and had lunch together and went down together.
We came back and chilled for two hours then we ate dinner.
The next day we did mountain biking. We did one trail and for whoever wanted to to some more could do another trail.
We then went to Innsbruck airport and we flew back to Gatwick airport.
