You will receive an invitation to Scoutbook from the Troop Committee when you join Troop 401. Scoutbook is a great program for tracking advancement, merit badge progress, upcoming events, etc. You and your scout can easily access it from your desktop, mobile phone and tablets.
Take a moment to double check your address and phone number. We use Scoutbook as our directory and for all contact information. Please enter your phone number without the leading zero.
As items are completed for advancement and merit badges, they can be checked off by the scout and/or their parents - marking the item with a green tick mark. Once that item is approved by the merit badge counselor, scoutmaster or assistant scoutmaster, the item will be marked with a blue tick mark. When the item is awarded, this tick mark changes to yellow. Please ask your scout to review the rank and merit badge records in Scoutbook and mark anything that has been completed but is not checked off with a green tick mark. S/he should then discuss this with the relevant merit badge counselor/scoutmaster/assistant scoutmaster in order to get it approved.
